About Me

Hi, I’m a geeky homeschooled adolescent who has been blessed with an amazing mother, and awesome younger sister, God’s wonderful love, and a passion for crochet.

Ever since I was little I enjoyed all sorts of arts and crafts, and just being creative. Me and my sister loved to make funny stop-motions with our Barbies, and we’d make little cities and forts in our bedroom for them too. We’d also sew rag dolls, and make little doll towns, sometimes we still do!

At the age of nine, I taught myself to crochet by sitting in front of the computer with my yarn and crochet hook, watching YouTube videos. My “crochet hook” was a latch hook that I modified.

You can make so many awesome things with crochet. Afghans, hats, scarves, and much, much more! One of these is amigurumi. Amigurumi is a Japanese art of knitting or crocheting stuffed toys. It’s just so amazing how you can make cute dolls and toys with crochet, big or small. There are so many possibilities, it’s almost overwhelming!

My firstĀ amigurumi project were some little pigs, they were so fun to make, and learning techniques different from the ones you use to make scarves and flat squares, was really fun. After making the pigs, there was so much to explore and make!
