The Snow Family – Free Crochet Pattern
Happy New Year! Can you believe it’s 2016?!
This little family of snow, and their pattern, were first introduced in my first blog post, but I thought I’d give these little guys, a post of their very own. Continue reading “The Snow Family – Free Crochet Pattern”
The Time Has Come… Plus a Free Pattern!
After a lot of writing, editing and proofreading, the time has finally come.
A while ago, my mom asked me if I would like a blog for my birthday. It wasn’t until my next birthday that mama surprised me with it, a sewing blog. Unfortunately it just sat there. And to top it all, I was losing interest in sewing. After awhile we just decided to let it go. Sewing wasn’t really where my heart was.
Crochet was rapidly becoming my new favorite craft. While learning a lot about amigurumi and crochet, and beginning to design my own patterns, I felt like starting a blog again, this time a crochet blog. We thought of a new name, and mama set me up and got me started, and that’s what brings us here!
As you know, it’s Christmas time! And I have a free pattern for a cute, snowy family of snowmen, and it would tickle me pink to share it with you!
What You’ll Need
• 3.5 mm (E/4) crochet hook
• worsted weight (4) yarn – I used Caron Simply Soft’s White, Red, and Dark Sage
• 2 pairs of 6mm safety eyes (if toy is for a baby, you can use felt, embroidery floss, or black yarn)
• fiberfill
• scissors
• yarn needle
Abbreviations
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
inc = increase
invdec = invisible decrease
picot = chain 3, sc in the 3rd chain from the hook
st(s) = stitch(es)
rnd(s) = round(s)
sl st = slip stitch
Note:
This is worked in continuous rounds. We will also be staggering our rounds to keep our snow family nice and round, which is why the rounds may look a little different.
